Accessibility statement
Elham Village Hall Association wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including visitors using mobile devices, keyboards, screen readers, zoom and other assistive technology.
What this website is designed to support
- Clear page structure and heading order
- Keyboard-visible focus and large touch targets
- Text beside rather than baked into images
- Direct PDF links instead of a flipbook
- Responsive tables and a full-calendar fallback link
- Labels and consent fields on enquiry forms
Known limitations
- Historic newsletter PDFs may not yet meet document-accessibility standards and some are unusually large.
- The embedded Teamup calendar is supplied by a third party and requires keyboard/mobile testing.
- Some existing photographs need renewed consent and stronger alt-text context.
- The old floorplan and hiring/legal downloads are withheld pending accessible, accurate replacements.
Access to the Hall
There is designated disabled parking. The Anna Clayton Room is upstairs and has a chairlift. Please discuss your individual access needs with the Hall team before visiting so they can explain the route, facilities and any practical arrangements. A blanket claim that every space is fully accessible has not been made.
Report a problem
The proposed contact route is the General Enquiry form, choosing Website accessibility or technical issue. Please describe the information or format you need. Email notifications are disabled on staging, so the form cannot yet be relied on to deliver a request. A named accessibility contact and response target must be confirmed before launch.
STAGING REVIEW: Complete a WCAG 2.2 AA audit after import, content approval and form/calendar testing; add preparation date, compliance status, enforcement route and confirmed contact before launch.
Prepared as a staging draft: 14 September 2026.
